Plan and platform boundaries

Shopify controls which checkout, account, B2B, Markets, API, and extension capabilities are available to a store. Checkout UI extensions on the information, shipping, and payment steps require Shopify Plus, while other checkout and accounts surfaces have different plan eligibility. B2B capabilities also vary by plan and configuration.

Five Acre Code does not sell Shopify subscriptions, set Shopify's platform fees, guarantee Plus eligibility, or act for Shopify. Your Shopify agreement remains between you and Shopify. We verify the current store capability during discovery and scope only the implementation and support work Five Acre Code will provide.

A practical Plus engagement

  1. Review the store plan, theme, apps, checkout and accounts configuration, B2B/Markets needs, release process, and current technical ownership.
  2. Identify which requirements belong in theme code, theme app extensions, checkout extensions, Shopify Functions, app configuration, or a custom app.
  3. Define the deliverables, acceptance environments, client decisions, data/access needs, release sequence, and ongoing support boundary.
  4. Build and test outside live production surfaces wherever Shopify provides a draft, development, preview, or unpublished path.
  5. Release with approval, rollback notes, owner handoff, and an agreed observation or support window.
