Getting Started

Install B2B Marshal, synchronize Shopify B2B data, track a company, and verify the account view before applying policy.

B2B Marshal is designed for merchants using Shopify B2B companies and locations. Start with visibility, verify the reconciled account view, and only then enable account policy or checkout controls.

Available now: B2B Marshal is approved and available on the Shopify App Store.

Setup checklist

  1. Install B2B Marshal from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Open the embedded app from Shopify admin and approve a B2B Marshal plan.
  3. Confirm that the store has Shopify B2B company data and that the app shows the expected Shopify and B2B capabilities.
  4. Wait for the company-directory synchronization to complete.
  5. On Free, select up to five companies to track. Paid plans can track companies up to the plan capacity.
  6. Open a tracked company and compare its company, location, order, currency, payment-term, and lifetime facts with Shopify.
  7. Review the displayed synchronization timestamps and allow background webhook and reconciliation work to incorporate recent order changes.
  8. Configure a credit limit or another account control only after the source data is verified.
  9. Test one B2B checkout that should qualify and one that should not.
  10. Review Settings for checkout-resource health, granted history access, plan facts, and synchronization status.

A good first workflow

Start with a company whose recent orders and payment status are easy to verify. Track the company, review unpaid and overdue exposure by currency, and compare a few orders with Shopify. On Core or higher, set a credit limit with dashboard-only threshold actions before enabling a checkout-changing action.

Verify the account view

  • Confirm that the company and location names match Shopify.
  • Keep currencies separate; B2B Marshal does not create an FX-normalized portfolio total.
  • Compare outstanding and overdue amounts with current Shopify order and payment-schedule state.
  • Distinguish Shopify lifetime totals from B2B Marshal reconciled tracked metrics.
  • Confirm the most recent directory sync, order sync, and scoped reconciliation times.
  • Verify that the installation has read_all_orders when older history is required.

Before enabling checkout controls

  • Confirm the company is tracked and the relevant location is active.
  • Review whether the location inherits company policy or owns a complete override.
  • Confirm the B2B Marshal plan and the independent Shopify plan/capability requirement.
  • Repair any required checkout resource marked pending, missing, disabled, or drifted.
  • Test in a representative B2B checkout. Normal retail checkouts and untracked companies should not receive B2B Marshal account controls.
