B2B Marshal separates Shopify company discovery from active account tracking. Policy and checkout behavior apply only to an active tracked projection.
Tracked
A tracked company can synchronize order history, show account metrics, receive company or location policy, and publish compact app-owned decision projections to Shopify when the selected plan permits it.
Not tracked
A not-tracked company remains visible in the directory but has a safe zero-state detail view. B2B Marshal does not apply checkout controls for the company. Previously saved policy, accounting, and audit history is retained so it can be restored if tracking restarts.
Missing from Shopify
When Shopify reports a company or location deleted, or a complete directory traversal no longer returns it, B2B Marshal preserves accounting and policy history for review, stops projection retries for the removed owner, and marks the record missing. It does not automatically erase merchant audit history merely because an operational source record disappeared.
Archived
Archiving is a merchant-controlled local lifecycle action for records no longer needed in the active workspace. It is distinct from a Shopify privacy deletion request and from uninstall handling.
Company and location policy
The company owns the main credit facility and default policy. A location inherits that policy unless it owns a supported complete override. Location credit limits must be tighter than or equal to the company limit. Company holds affect every location; a location hold affects only that location.
Static quantity restrictions follow store, company, then location precedence. A location inherits its company's effective quantity rule until the merchant enables a location override. The location then owns the complete minimum, maximum, increment, and product-or-variant scope bundle and can explicitly turn quantity restrictions off for that location.
Tiered discounts use a separate atomic company/location bundle. A location inherits both company ladders and the markdown setting until it enables an override; it then owns the complete order-subtotal ladder, product/variant-quantity ladder, and markdown-exclusion choice without mixing individual fields from the company.
Checkout projections
B2B Marshal writes compact app-owned company and location metafields containing checkout decision inputs. Every Function requires an explicit active tracking flag. Missing, malformed, inactive, or absent projections fail open rather than applying B2B Marshal controls to the checkout.
