Gift with Purchase is available on Growth and up. It adds your selected gift variant to a qualifying cart and discounts it automatically.
How it works
- Select the gift product and variant.
- Choose qualification: minimum order amount, products in cart, or both.
- Cart Marshal publishes the discount and auto-add behavior together.
- Unpublishing stops both parts while keeping your rule configuration.
Published gift rule
You can publish one auto-add Gift with Purchase rule at a time. Keep additional gift rules as drafts and publish the one you want to run.
Qualifying items and Strict Max
Qualifying items controls whether Cart Marshal counts all eligible cart lines or one eligible line when awarding gifts. Strict Max removes gifts above your Max Gifts value. In one-line mode, Cart Marshal uses an eligible line quantity that fits the maximum when possible.
Confirm the result
Check a qualifying cart, a non-qualifying cart, an unavailable gift, and a cart where the shopper removes the gift. If the gift has multiple variants, confirm the selected variant is the one added.
