Does Cart Marshal change my storefront?
Most Cart Marshal rules run through Shopify Functions and do not require storefront theme changes. Gift with Purchase uses the Cart Marshal theme extension app embed to keep the managed gift synchronized with the cart. Enable and save it on your published theme in the Theme Editor; no theme-code edits are required.
Can I review a rule before publishing?
Yes. Every rule starts as a draft. Fill out the form and review the summary, then publish when it matches what you want. After publishing, confirm the result with one cart that qualifies and one that does not.
Can I turn a rule off without deleting it?
Yes. Unpublish a rule to stop it while keeping the configuration ready to use again. Archive it when you want to move it out of your active working list.
Does Cart Marshal replace Shopify Scripts?
Cart Marshal covers many discount, delivery, payment, and restriction patterns with Shopify Functions. Use Scripts analyzer to identify which parts of a legacy Script map to Cart Marshal templates and which may need a custom solution.
What plans are available?
Cart Marshal plans are Free, Core, Growth, and Pro. Published-rule limits are Free 1, Core 5, Growth 25, and Pro with no Cart Marshal-imposed cap. Shopify platform limits still apply.
Does Gift with Purchase add gifts automatically?
Yes. Choose one exact gift variant and one purchase eligibility option: a minimum purchase amount or selected products and variants. A threshold rule adds one managed gift. An item-based rule adds one gift per qualifying unit, with an optional Gift Limit per purchase. Cart Marshal adjusts or removes the managed gift as the cart changes, and you can publish multiple Gift with Purchase rules under your normal plan allowance. Automatic rules make the gift free when it qualifies; code rules keep it at regular price until the shopper applies the code.
Can discounts exclude B2B customers?
Yes. All five discount templates include All customers except B2B / Company customers. The option covers ordinary direct-to-consumer and anonymous shoppers when Shopify does not provide a B2B purchasing company. On supporting discount forms, combine it with Require login when the offer should apply only to signed-in non-B2B customers.
Can Cart Marshal read my Shopify Scripts automatically?
Scripts analyzer does not read Scripts from Shopify. On Pro, you can paste Ruby Script code into the analyzer, review its recommendations, and build the supported behavior with Cart Marshal templates.
