Shipping Discount is available on Free and up. Use it for free shipping, percentage-off shipping, or fixed-amount shipping discounts with eligibility rules and product exclusions.
Common examples
- Free shipping over a subtotal threshold.
- $5 off shipping over a subtotal threshold.
- Free shipping only for selected customer tags.
- Free or reduced shipping for all customers except B2B / Company customers.
- Exclude bulky, cold-chain, or restricted products from the threshold.
- Apply shipping discount behavior only in selected countries or markets.
Configuration notes
- Shipping method mode can target the cheapest option, every option, or specific named options.
- New shipping discount rules default to the least expensive shipping option unless you choose all or specific options.
- Product exclusions can use product tags, collections, or on-sale status.
- Discount combinations are available on Free and up.
- Recurring schedules require Growth or Pro.
Customer eligibility
Choose All customers except B2B / Company customers when an offer should apply only when Shopify does not provide a B2B purchasing company. This includes ordinary direct-to-consumer customers and anonymous shoppers. If you also enable Require login, only signed-in non-B2B customers qualify.
Confirm the result
Check carts below and above the threshold, include an excluded product, and make at least two delivery methods available. Confirm the shipping price and eligible methods match the rule summary.
