Review policiesThe problem
Replace your checkout app stack with one app.
Most stores end up spreading checkout behavior across native settings, apps, admin notes, and legacy logic. Cart Marshal gives merchants one workflow to draft, preview, publish, and audit checkout rules.
Fragmented logic
Discount behavior, payment conditions, and shipping rules end up across three or four different places in Shopify admin plus however many apps. There is no single view of what's live.
No governance
Rules go live without review. There's no draft state, no preview before a rule affects real customers, no clean way to disable without losing configuration.
Scripts deadline
Shopify Scripts have gone dark as of June 30, 2026. Stores that were running discount, shipping, or payment logic in Scripts need a Functions-based migration path now.
Native settings hit a ceiling
Native free shipping cannot handle product exclusions cleanly. Native discounts cannot combine conditions the way real merchants need. When you outgrow native, you need Functions, and an interface to manage them.
Features
One app for every checkout rule.
One Shopify app for every checkout rule.
Cart Marshal puts discount, payment, delivery, and restriction rules in one interface. Scan the checkout free, build from purpose-made templates, save drafts for review, and publish through Shopify Functions when each rule is ready.
Discounts
5 discount templates.
Free shipping threshold, product/order discount, tiered discount, Buy X Get Y, and gift with purchase. Each is a purpose-built template, not a blank rule engine to wire up yourself.
Payment
Hide, reorder, rename.
Show or hide payment methods conditionally. Reorder them based on cart state. Rename them for clarity at checkout.
Delivery
Hide, reorder, rename.
Filter shipping methods by cart, customer, or address. Reorder them. Rename them. Conditional in every direction.
Restrictions
4 visible restriction templates.
Order, quantity, product, and address restrictions—including PO Box detection—block checkout with a clear message when requirements are not met.
How it works
Three steps from template to live rule.
Step 01
Pick a template.
Browse 15 visible rule templates across the four families. Each one is purpose-built for a specific checkout pattern, with no generic "build your own logic" abstraction to wrestle with.
Step 02
Configure conditions.
Form-based configuration. Set thresholds, tags, countries, B2B targeting, collections, and exclusions. The form generates a plain-language summary of what the rule will do at checkout.
Step 03
Publish.
Rules exist as drafts until you publish. Publishing creates the Shopify resource used by that template. Edit live rules safely with unpublished edits, then publish again when ready. Disable without losing configuration.
Data and security
Built on Shopify Functions. Minimal data. No customer database.
Published checkout rules execute through Shopify Functions in Shopify's infrastructure. Cart Marshal stores merchant rule configuration and operational audit data, but does not maintain customer profiles, order history, or behavioral tracking. Function input is evaluated for the checkout and is not stored as a customer database.

Protected customer data
Some validation and payment-method use cases require Shopify protected customer data access for delivery address fields such as address1, address2, and zip. Cart Marshal requests protected fields only for rule evaluation.
GDPR and security
Cart Marshal implements all three Shopify-mandated GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Because no per-customer data is persisted, customer data requests typically have nothing to package or delete. Merchant data is purged within 48 hours of uninstall.
The Cart Marshal security policy is published at /apps/cart-marshal/policies/security/. Vulnerability reports go to support@fiveacrecode.com with subject prefix [SECURITY].
